This is just a very quick explanation of how layers work in scal 2. It was the easiest way to answer a few questions people were asking:0)

Thank you for the explanation about layers. I think it was very helpful. I do have another question though. I liked the lay out of your screen. I find it very annoying when SCAL opens and you constantly have to move things around to see the mat. Is there a way to change the format and make it stay like that? Thanks in advance. Renee

I find it very annoying when you first open up SCAL and you have to move everything around to see the mat. Is there a way to keep the format like you want it without having to redo it all the time? Thank you Denise for the great explanation on layers. I so needed it. It makes everything so much easier. I kept trying to ungroup things and move them around but now just lock and unlock yay!! Thank you for always sharing your creativity with us:)
