My daughter at Fine Arts

I know this isn't craft related, but I'm a proud mama, and can't help myself!!!!  My youngest child Lindsey (she's 14) competed in our church's State Fine Arts Competition in Syracuse this morning.  We won't know if she  moves on to Nationals until tomorrow, but I am so proud of her.  She did an amazing job :0)

htv apron

I have some of these aprons, and just got around to doing one.  I tried to think of something"original", but drew a blank.  So I just played it safe with a monogram.  I like it though :0)

mini hand sanitizer cover-free svg file

This is a stampin up project, but you know I hate cutting things out by hand, so I made it into an svg file.  You get 4 covers out of an 8 1/2 x 11" piece of paper.  These will be great around the holidays! (It's too early to even think about THAT!!!)  There is a video here by Dawn showing how to assemble it.

Shadow Box

This is my first shadow box.  A friend asked me to make it for her niece.  It was one of those projects that took me forever.  I just couldn't get it to suit me.  In the end, I was pleased with it.  The recipient loved it, so it was worth the struggle :0)

unframed

I added lots of dimension

Ribbon Holder in Black!!!

Doesn't this look awesome in black???

Jude, from http://judestersworld.blogspot.com/ couldn't get enough white foam core, so she used black.  I love how it looks, plus it matched her room better.  I love it when things work out:0)

Big Girl Panties file for sale

After much encouragement from many people, I have decided to sell a few files.  I changed this from my first project, to make it more "mine".  There are also panty variations included with the file.  If you would like the file, I am asking $3, payable through my paypal donate button on the right hand side of my blog. You may sell items you make with this file. Please type big girl panties in the comments section, and I will email the file when I receive payment. :0)  Thank you!
I know there is a heart missing in the first pair of panties.  I lost it weeding lol.  I need to cut a new one.

Put on your Big Girl Panties...

The motto around our house is "suck it up cupcake".  We say it to each other ALL the time.  I consider this quote the feminine version of the saying, and fell in love with it the first time I saw it.  I have been wanting to create a file, and today was the day.  (this is my own creation, I did not trace it)
It will hang in my craft room :0)

Ribbon Holder made from foam core board

I saw a ribbon holder like this on a blog, but could not find any directions or dimensions for it.  A few years ago I had made an ink pad holder out of foam core, so I knew it would work.  I bought some foam core board from walmart, and went to work.  My husband offered to do it for me, but he has already spent so much time on my room I hated to have him do this too.  I am pleased with how it came out, and I only used 3 sheets of foam core. (they were $2.86 each at walmart)  I did make a few mistakes, so I wasted a little of the board.  Only problem is, this one is completely full already, so I need another one!  I guess I better get busy lol

Best Hubby in the world!

My husband built me these shelves over the weekend.  Aren't they great?  I still need to figure out what I'm going to
put on them.  I just threw empty baskets up there for now.  My craft room is making progress!!!
The open area is for filming videos and setting up my light box.

I know I haven't been posting much lately.  Two weeks ago I went to Maryland on an overnight business trip with my husband, spur of the moment.  On our way home we received word that there was an unexpected death in our family.
The funeral wasn't until this past Friday, so things have not been on the regular schedule.
Hopefully things will settle back to normal now :0)
