New Craft Room!!!!!!

When my son got married in June I moved my craft stuff into his bedroom, but didn't take the time to change anything.  He had 20 year old tan, construction grade carpet-yuk!!!!  The bottom third of the walls were dark blue, and 3 of the upper walls were white.  The main wall was scarlet on the top portion with a large white "M" with lacrosse sticks through it.  Red and blue are our school colors, and I painted it for him his sophomore year.  Unfortunately I don't have any "before" pictures!!!!
We have plans to update the room, but hadn't done anything yet.  Wednesday my husband purchased laminate flooring for 3 rooms in our house, with plans to install them this winter.  Friday morning he decides to do the floor in my craft room!!!!  So we took the contents of the room and put it all in the kitchen.  I should have taken a picture of that! He did my floor Friday, and we painted all day Saturday,(I didn't want to empty that room again.) and moved stuff back in on Sunday.    Painting was a chore, covering all that dark paint.  I had no idea what colors to choose, and only had 1 day to decide.  I was going to stick with all white, but my daughters talked me into one green wall. It will be a while before the shelving and cupboards go in, but I am thrilled with my new space.  I never dreamed it would be done so soon.   I can't wait to go in and play!!!!!

my nice new floor!
My stuff added in.  It will be a while before it is finished, but I am thrilled to have such a nice room!

1st Craft Show

I know I have been MIA, I have just been so busy I haven't had time to post!  I didn't even take pictures of some of my recent projects-not good!
I just did my first craft show.  Actually, a friend of mine had a table(the wreaths and centerpieces were hers) and talked me into bringing some of my stuff.  We split an 8' table, which made it quite crowded.  I'm sure we both would have done better if we had spread out more.  I made $110, not counting a few orders I picked up, which isn't great, but I also didn't have much with me.  I sold some chargers, a few dry erase tiles, & a lot of glitter ornaments.  I sold my snowman plate for $20!!!!! (I priced it high because I really didn't care if it sold-I like it!)  I did get lots of looks and good comments on my stuff, which was nice.
I really don't think craft shows are my thing.  I think I'll mostly stick to orders. It was a good learning experience though.

Oh, and there were not any other cricut/cutter crafts there.  I couldn't believe it.

Word Christmas Tree file to share-svg & scal 2

I made this file last week, but haven't had the opportunity to make anything with it yet.  I thought I would post it anyway in case someone else wanted to use it.  I would love to see how others use it!!!!  There are 3 border options included, although I'm not sure if  I like them.

Christmas Layout

This summer I was contacted by a new company to do some freelance design of 12 x 12 layouts.  I rarely scrapbook, but decided to challenge myself.  They purchased several of my submissions, and I was pleased with the whole experience.  I do however, have several layouts that weren't purchased, so I thought I would begin posting them.

Thanksgiving Mirror (etched glass vinyl)

I just found this file and wanted to try it out. I love the look of etched mirrors but didn't want to do anything permanent.  I purchased this glassl etch vinyl a year ago and decided to use it.  I bought 2 "colors", a light and a dark.  This is the dark, and it shows up really well.  I really like how this looks, and plan to change it with the seasons.  I know the pictures are terrible, but this mirror doesn't come off the wall easily and I had to work with what I had.

Snowman Plate-vinyl

I just finished this plate, and I LOVE it.  But then, I love all snowmen!  I purchased the plate at Walmart ($4.25) and the snowman is a clipart image that I converted.
I also etched a mirror with the same file.  The download links are below.
