Etched Jars

I put some cute fall designs on these little jars from Walmart.  I am going to fill them with fall hersheys chocolates and tie a raffia bow around the neck.  Sorry for the poor photos.  I have a hard time getting the etching to show!

wonderful - what cart did you cut them from? Or are they your own design?

The cuts are not from a cartridge, they are svg files cut with scal 2. I got the pumpkin from someone, the others I made from clipart.

Your etching showed up great. What a great project. I'm going and find me some of those jars. What great gifts. I just stumbled across your site and I love it.

how did you do the etching?

To do the etching you cut a "stencil" out of vinyl or contact paper. Apply that to your glass, then cover with etching cream. (can be purchased at Michaels and other craft stores) Wait 15 minutes, wash off the cream, and remove the vinyl. It is very easy!
