CD Envelopes

I needed cd envelopes for some picture cd's I made for 3 of my friends.  In July the 4 of us flew from western NY to Denver, then spent a few days in Colorado Springs.  We had an absolute blast!!!!  It was our first "girls get-a-way".  It wont be our last!
We flew standby and all went well on the way out.  On the way home however, we got stuck in Baltimore.  The 3 remaining flights to Buffalo were all over booked and there were 25 people on the standby list.  Long story short, we ended up getting a rental car and hitching a ride home with a fireman from Phoenix, AZ!!!!!  (He was trying to get to a funeral)  The long version is quite a story, believe me!

Winter Formal Invitations

My daughter and her friend are in charge of their High schools National Honor Society 1st winter formal.  It is January 30, and there is a lot more involved than they realized when they agreed to do it!!!
They want to set the bar high for future classes (they are seniors) so we got to work.  They decided on black, silver and white for the color scheme.  Here are the invitations we came up with.  The snowflakes are embossed, it doesn't show very well in the picture.  They really came out nice, the picture doesn't do them justice.  There will be more winter formal projects to post I'm sure!!!

Glitter Ornaments

I really love this project.  They are so simple and turn out so beautiful.  I think I will probably do some every year.  These are for my neices and nephews, and the kids I babysit.

Double Slider Mini Album-instructions removed

SLIDER FIX UP A FEW POSTS!!!!

This album is a spin-off of the double slider card. I saw it surfing the web.  There were no instructions for making it.  Half (or more!!!) of the fun for me is in the making.  So I watched Dawn Griffeths double slider card video again, and proceeded to figure it out!  Here is the result.  I do have a cut file, although it isn't necessary.  It's just rectangles.  I will post both the cut file and cutting dimensions.  I am going to do a video tutorial for this one.  It's not hard, but it will be easier to show you than tell you.  Hopefully I'll have it all posted in the next few days.

Pop-Top Cans

Here is this weeks flute section treat.  This is the last week of regular competition.  The championships are Nov. 1, then we are done.  It's a little sad this year, one of my daughters is a senior, and marching band has been a big part of her life.

3-D Christmas ornaments

Seeing all the cute 3-D pupmpkins got me thinking about Christmas!  These are so easy.  I just used scrap paper for these, but I can see them done with glitter & metallic paper.  Maybe some cuttlebug...
Each ornament is just 5 identical shapes, folded in half (scored first) and glued together.
The snowflake is from jots.
The round ornament is from jots.  Foundation layer + overlay glued together first, then folded.
The teardrop ornament is from the Christmas cartridge , two layers also.

Christmas Countdown

Here is a smaller version of my wedding countdown.  I think I like the larger version better.  This didn't leave any room for any Christmas elements.  I would have liked to put a tree or presents or something down the side.

Wedding Day Countdown

My son's fiance goes back to college this weekend, 7 hours away. It's her last year! It is always hard for her to be away. I thought maybe she would enjoy a visual countdown to the wedding, which is June 5, 2010. They have abeach themed wedding.
I plan to make some Christmas countdowns also.
