The design team at Glue, Scissors, Paper had a charm challenge this week. The challenge was to make a charm with bling. My son's wedding is 3 weeks from today, so everything is wedding around here! I thought I would go with that and created a wedding ring charm. I cut clear shrink plastic with my cricut, and colored the bands with a silver sharpie. Then I baked them. After they cooled I covered the diamond with glitter glue, let that dry, then covered the whole thing with crystal effects. I think I will add another coat of crystal effects to smooth them out, but I am happy with how they turned out. I think they would look great on an engagement or wedding card, or tied on a gift.
Great charms, Denise!!! Could you post a link where we can see the other charms that were created??? The link on your blog takes me to a page where the last entry was 5/12 and no mention of challenges!! Thanks, Denise!!

ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic Denise!!
ReplyDeleteThose are so cute. I was wondering if you could let me know what settings you used to cut the shrink plastic. I never thought of using that in the cricut but Id love to try it out. I want to make myself a disney charm bracelet
ReplyDeleteMs. lady....these are absolutely clever....Love, love, love them.....I have some shrink film that you have inspired me to pull out and give a try........Who knew.....?...Well, I didn't....(hehe...).....I have to give these a try.....And I enjoyed doing this challenge and sharing you ladies great creations....Thanks for the inspiration.......
ReplyDeletereally a cute idea! TFS!
ReplyDeleteI did use the deep cut blade, but I had issues, which I always do! Next time I will try my regular blade with multi-cut. I used the deep blade, max pressure and blade depth, and did multicut 3. Multicut always gives me problems, and I don't know why. Make sure you tape the shrink film securely to the mat!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea! Very creative. and congrats on the upcoming wedding!
