His truck is totaled, but praise God, he is completely fine!!!! He hit an icey patch, crossed the oncoming lane of traffic, and slammed into a telephone pole on the drivers door. He has two tiny cuts-one on his ear and one on his wrist, and they are from broken glass. Now he's out bowling!!!!! (he's 19) There are no words for how thankful I am that God had his hand on him. It's a miracle he walked away.
I hate ice! I remember doing a 360 on the road and luckily no one was around and I did not hit a thing. Came close.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad your son is ok. Probably a good thing he was in a truck that size.
OMG..thank goodness he is ok! Things like this is what insurance is for! You can replace a car...not a life!!
ReplyDeleteThank Goodness Denise.Someone was watching over your son.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that your son is OK!! He's a lucky young man. Sure...he's out bowling, you on the other hand, are probably a nervous wreck!! Hope the rest of the weekend improves for you both. Hugs, Rockin Robin

I'm so glad it was only the truck that suffered serious damage. I'd have about 20 more grey hairs if I was in your shoes. Actually I think I got one in sympathy for you lol.
ReplyDeleteHi Denise, I know exactly how you feel. My Daughter who's 19 had an accident 2 weeks ago( not her fault)the car was a total loss! My younger daughter was also in the car , I was 2 cars back and saw it happen. Like you they are ok .

So glad he is ok!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the supportive comments, everyone. I am just so thankful he wasn't hurt! I'm going to see the truck today. Although it's still snowing-maybe I'll just stay home!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank God he is okay! The truck can be replaced. I can't imagine how shook up you must have been.
ReplyDeleteGlad he is ok! God is good!

ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that he is ok. Life sure can change in an instant can't it.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that he is ok. Life sure can change in an instant can't it.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that your son is OK -- what a scare though. Hope we are soon done with all this snow and ice -- I am sure ready for spring!
ReplyDeleteDenise - I just saw this! I know exactly how you feel. My 17 year old daughter flipped her Explorer on Labor day. Partly due to speed, inexperience and swerving to miss a dog. She was so calm when she called me. Thank goodness..or I probably would have lost it. From the looks of what was left of her vehicle and the few marks that were on her, I don't know how anyone could not believe in God and His angels. I am glad to hear that he is okay. You gotta love teenagers and being the mama. :)
ReplyDeleteOMG! I remember my kids going through that! It's so scarey! I'm thankful he is ok. Gail gailheinecke@charter.net
ReplyDeleteGood to know he is doing well. Praise God!
ReplyDeleteI`m happy that god held his hand over your son!

ReplyDeleteMy 22 year old son totaled his car last week. He is in school 100 miles away so he sent me a text of the cut on his head! Thank goodness he and all of yours are ok. We already have the insurance check, but now to find another vehicle. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteFrightening experience for the both of you.
ReplyDeleteVery happy that your son is fine.
