box set

I've been working on the scut file for this box set.  I've seen several cut and print templates, but I hate to cut anything by hand!  I like my cricut to do the work.  It cuts much better than I do.  There is a link below if you would like the file.  It's for scal 2.  If you don't have it yet, you NEED it!!!!!  It is worth every penny.

Christmas Countdown

Here is a smaller version of my wedding countdown.  I think I like the larger version better.  This didn't leave any room for any Christmas elements.  I would have liked to put a tree or presents or something down the side.

kitchen wall vinyl

This is in my kitchen. I have always had a tiny kitchen. Two years ago we did a big renovation and moved the basement stairs and tore down the wall between our kitchen and old living room. I now have a big, open kitchen I love! My DH did all the work. We never could have afforded to hire it done. He does great work, and I am so blessed to be married to him.

Click on any picture to view it larger!

Wood & vinyl sign

I saw a sign like this in the Country Sampler magazine, but it was $30. I went next door to my mil falling down pole barn(which we are going to tear down) pulled a piece of wood off the side, slapped 2 quick coats of paint on it, and cut the saying from almond colored contact paper using scal. I din't have any gold vinyl, so I just used card stock. I was very happy with how it turned out!

etched dishes

I decided to etch my name onto the dishes I take to church dinners & family dinners. The pie plates are pyrex and they etched beautifully. I had 2 other pyrex dishes that wouldn't etch though. You just have to try a small spot to see if it will or not.

What a week!

My computer woes quickly took a back seat this past weekend. My best friends mom has been battling different cancers for many years. On Sat. they decided to stop fighting, and at 4pm she was moved to the hospice room of our local hospital. At 12:45am Sunday morning, she went home to be with Jesus. We NEVER expected it to be so soon, not even her Dr. She went peacefully, and it was a blessing she didn't have to suffer anymore, but such a shock. It has been a long week of dinners, calling hours, and the funeral. This is my second girlfriend to loose her mom this month!

I do have a couple of projects I will try to get posted later today. Thanks for stopping by!

Bulletin Board

Hi-I'm back! My laptop died on Friday. I didn't know what to do with no computer! My wonderful DH went shopping Sat. morning and got me a new one. Unfortunately we had a very busy weekend so he still doesn't have everything I need on the new one yet. But at least I'm back on-line and can use scal. Of course he has to call provocraft for a new ds registration number. He gets so mad at them!

This is a quick bulletin board I did at church this weekend promoting our kids program, which starts back up after summer break soon. Thanks for looking!

Wedding Card

I made this card to go with the tile in the previous post. I really struggle with cards! Plus, this is a half fold card, which I find harder than the a2. This took so much longer than it should have! I can never decide "which I like best"! I guess I'm happy with it. It doesn't show in the photo, but the papers are pearl finish.

Wedding Tile

I made this tile for a wedding this weekend. Totally scraplifted the idea from Marilyn athttp://marilynscreativemoments.blogspot.com/

I put ribbon around the edges to finish it off, and shank buttons in the holes.

I covered the back with a piece of paper. I marked the holes and punched them before I glued the paper on.

Wedding Day Countdown

My son's fiance goes back to college this weekend, 7 hours away. It's her last year! It is always hard for her to be away. I thought maybe she would enjoy a visual countdown to the wedding, which is June 5, 2010. They have abeach themed wedding.
I plan to make some Christmas countdowns also.

Freezer paper tees

I made these shirts for the flute section of our high school marching band. Both of my daughters are in it, and my oldest is the section leader. This week is band camp, and she wanted them to have matching shirts. This took forever (we did 10). I wish my edges were a little sharper, but the perfect color match kind of makes up for it. I'm a detail person!

Here we go-

Well, I finally did it! Here is my blog. I know it's in rough form. Basically I just uploaded the project pics I have. Hopefully now I can clean it up and add to it. I just wanted to get over my fear of starting one. I'm so over my head-I tend to be computer challenged at times!
THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!!!!!!!!!!

More cookie Towers

Hopefully I am done with cookie towers for a while! These were thank yous for people who donated to a fundraiser at our church.

cookie towers and carrier

Melinda Ford designed these fabulous cookie towers. http://stayathomemomcrafts.blogspot.com/2009/04/marthas-cookie-towers.html
I have given so many as gifts! She recently created the mini tower (holds about 6 cookies) so I thought a cute carrier would be great. Thanks to Melinda and all her help, I now have a link to download the file.
Here is a file for scal one. Some people have had trouble opening the original if they haven't upgraded to scal 2. If you haven't-you should! It's well worth the $30!!!

tile

This is a tile a scraplifted from Marilyn at
She does beautiful work! She generously shared the file with me. I made it for my mil birthday.

Bulletin board for funeral of our beloved retired Pastor's wife

This is a large bulletin board (4x8) in the foyer of our church. I made this board to match the funeral program. The program was created in word. I was able to take the flourishes from word into scal and cut the boarders to match the program. It was the first time I had tried this, and it worked great.

Vinyl Banner for Ladies Spring Rally

Church Spring Rally banner done on a large sheet of craft paper. I used painters tape to transfer the vinyl.

pop-up cake card

Maureen Wong designed the file for this pop-up card. It;s wonderful.

Brag Book

I made this brag book for a friends 50th birthday. I downloaded the backgrounds and then cut them out. I sized it so 4x6 photos could be slid in from the top.

50 Sucks bouquet

My take on the ever popular "sucks" bouquet! It was a hit and a lot of fun to make!
